Models and quantities

Send one photo per model and the quantity. Matching chairs may have very different levels of soiling. For an armchair, mention loose cushions, footstools, reclining mechanisms and contrasting side materials.

Protect wood, metal and electrics

Upholstery may sit beside unfinished wood or electrical components. Treatment needs to account for that construction. Leather, faux leather and fabric are different surfaces and should not automatically receive the same cleaning method.

Plan several items together

For several chairs or business seating, prepare an item list. Allow space for drying and keep routes clear. A combined visit can simplify arrangements; any package price needs to be confirmed after assessment.

Group chairs by model and covering

Photograph each different model and give the quantity. A dining chair may have an upholstered seat alone or a fabric back too. An armchair adds arms and larger panels, while an office chair can combine fabric, mesh, plastic and moving parts. Equal quantities do not necessarily mean equal work.

Dining and office chair prices refer to the stated upholstered seat and back surfaces. Mesh backs, hard components, castors and mechanisms need separate assessment. Cleaning the upholstery is not mechanical servicing of the chair.

Treat contact soiling and individual marks

Show darkened seat edges, food marks and previously treated areas. We check the care instructions for each covering and record damage. Suitable fabric can receive dry soil removal, appropriate spot treatment and, where permitted, extraction with liquid recovery. Different models may need different treatment.

Worn edges, open seams and colour loss will not disappear with more extraction passes. A loose frame or faulty gas lift needs repair before normal use. For delicate decorative stitching or fittings, we establish which areas need to be left untreated.

Allow several chairs to dry

Leave space for air between treated surfaces. Do not stack damp chairs together. If the entire dining set is being cleaned, arrange other seating where possible. Office furniture may be easier to organise in batches; actual appointment availability is agreed beforehand.

The final review follows the agreed items and surfaces. For a larger quantity, a simple list by model or room helps. Check seams and lower edges before use. If anything changes after drying, a photograph and a clear identification of the chair make follow-up easier.
