Avoid layering products
When a mark remains after one attempt, adding more product is not automatically better. Residues can complicate assessment and leave additional rings. Note what you used and keep the packaging. For sensitive fabrics, stopping is often more useful than trying another experiment.
Distinguish a stain from damage
A pale patch may be lost dye; a dark seating mark may involve altered fibres. Both can look like dirt from some angles. Photograph the area in daylight from several directions. Cleaning can address soil, but cannot replace missing dye or worn fibres.
Information before more treatment
Start an enquiry with a full photo, close-up, care label and description of what happened. Mention whether the mark had already dried, returned repeatedly or appeared after earlier cleaning. This helps discuss realistic expectations without promising complete removal in advance.
